Hey folks

 

Looking for input from the community!  Any insight would be helpful.

 

So the attached pictures are from a book that CGC noted as “foxing”; but it looks more like tanning or staining to me.  What do you folks think it is?

But whatever you call it, probably the same grade impact.

My exact thinking!  Foxing is usually NOWHERE that size; it’s more like freckles, at least in my (limited) experience.

Could be foxing, as it often can be confused with an oily stain. I have seen blotches of foxing the size of quarters on certain book. Could also be a stain which would be hit a little harder by CGC.

That’s a BIG foxing spot 😱.  Surprised the book got an 8.0, but I’m definitely leaving that one alone 🤣.

 

I don’t like messing with foxing……..
