Have a the incredible hulk 180 graded by PGX that I acquired some number of years ago, maybe even a decade ago. PGX graded at 2.5. Any thoughts on having CGC pressing and regrade worth it?

Frankly, the PGX slab adds zero value, and actually may detract. Many collectors see PGX and think, "over-graded and possibly unnoted restoration, missing pieces or trimming."

I would crack and it and keep it raw. Slabbing at that grade level doesn't add much. It's a reader. But, If you want it graded, send to CGC.

One board member recently deslabbed PGX case and found the cover was detached at the bottom staple.  Their grade was 8.0 so it went down to either 6.0 or 6.5.

My last purchase was in 2010.  I deslabbed, had it pressed then submitted to CGC.  It came back 9.4 with white pages.  It was ASM 45.  PGX graded it 8.5.

However, PGX became inconsistent and unreliable lately and I avoid PGX at all costs.  It's your own risk.
