Ok, I asked questions about this same book in the restoration thread because I had no idea what happened to the back. Now that I get the feeling there is very little I can do about the back, how much does it bring the grade down? The front looks 9.6 - 9.8 but how much does the back drop it?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I can't see that amount of staining/foxing getting higher than a 4.0

I agree with scburdet.  The bottom end for foxing is 4.0, and I would say that is some of the worst foxing I have seen.  Fortunately it's on the back cover.  Staining can take the grade much lower, but I think it would still be at about a 4.0 as it seems to be the only significant defect.

Someone used that book a lot. 3.5 if it isn't too sticky to get into a slab.
