Going through my dad's stash (stored in trunks since they were bought by him off the shelf) and seeing what we have, thoughts on approximate grade? I know the pics aren't the best, this is what my mom sent.

Looks like 8+ is in play with a good clean and press. Would love to see better pictures though

Without better pics outside of a bag I'd say FN/VF range.

letters page seems quite dirty. this is a big book and i wouldn't want to attempt to grade it without a clean, and your first image 

is not a scan, so...

On what I can see, I'd go 7.0 and I hope you asked your mom (very nicely of course,) to clean that counter top well and let it dry before setting books down on it. Would hate to see a book spoiled by food or grease after careful storage!
