Why do some submissions of mine seem to get pushed through faster than others 2 2

I have 3 submissions that I sent in and they seem to be just sitting there. I say this because I have had 4 other submissions that I have sent in after the previously mentioned 3 and already have gotten them back. I'm extremely confused by this. Can you plz give me some clarity?
