Action Comics #684 p4 by Jackson Guice

Here’s a half splash from the most significant 90’s storyline from DC, or maybe from any time. Action 684 heralds the start of the battle between Doomsday and Superman. This eventually leads to Doomsday killing Superman, thus the Death of Superman storyline is born. This may be the best Doomsday page that you will find. The last panel alone conveys to the reader that this beast was bred to kill.

NEW ART FRIDAYS update this week includes art from Jackson Guice, John Romita, Jr., Jack Kirby, Bob Hall, Mico Suayan, Mike Sekowsky, Alan Kupperberg, Sal Buscema, Irv Novick, Larry Lieber, John Byrne, Joe Simon, George Tuska, Herb Trimpe, Pablo Marcos, Bob Oksner, Jose Delbo, Arvell Jones, Neal Adams, and Dick Dillin!
