rarest Modern Comic

I realize I'm a little late on this one...

"...although it's a manufactured collectible..that's not the question..it's which book is the rarest." Using this definition, I would have to say that the rarest Modern books would be the Chaos Omega editions. Print run of 1 copy.

The Maxx (Image) Black Ashcan #1, 2, or 3 (although most would argue that #3 is the most elusive). All are 1:50.

Dead At 17 Fiasco. 20 printed and it's not a cover variant. All interior contents are exclusive to those 20 copies and so far have never been reprinted in their entirety anywhere.

Comixpress mouseguard 1 (not a variant but considered to be the true frist printing. Although an independent comic it is considered pretty mainstream) I think there are 250 copies.

These were limited to 20 copies each, I don't think he ever sold through all of them either

These are the sketch cover editions but all versions had the same print run, I have them all but don't seem to have a pic of the whole set. Here's one of the regular covers

How about the 30 days of night #1 bound comic,didn't it just have 50 copies made.

This book might be just a taaaad too old, but gobbledygook 1 and 2 are pretty rare in that there are only about 50 of each printed, and they pretty much never show up. (although I do believe as of recently there has been one on eBay at an absurd price)

Actually I'm sorry to burst your bubble but there is one book that had a print run of only one, which would in theory be the rarest modern to date. It was called The Walking Chew.

Yeah, I'll always miss that one. It was an incredible stroke of luck to even have the opportunity to own it. The sale helped get my car painted though

50 made, and the odds of finding a really nice one are slim due to the front cover easily tearing away from the binding.

 

Tough book to find absolutely.
