How do I get an Alex Maleev commission?

The default answer, of course, is to ask through Anthony Snyder but I have plenty of trouble getting verbose answers on a query about a $2500 piece listed on his site. I see fantastic Maleev pieces on CAF, but I don;t know how people are acquiring them. Any help?

Do like I did. Ask Snyder and Maleev at a con. Have Snyder ignore you and Maleev look put out to be there.

Maleev's attitude or Snyders? When i got my sketch back in 2003 (i think) Alex was really nice, and even remembered my piece at the next con i saw him at.

I've heard mixed stories about Maleev, either being pretty cool or kind of fussy. Maybe he's bipolar. But I don't care; I *love* his art.

I got a sketch at the same con Simon was at and Maleev could not have been nicer and more polite to his fans. I did not get to see him at this NYC Comic Con couple of weeks ago but I can't imagine the guy I met being 'put out' by his fans. He seemed geniunely appreciative of everyone who came up to his table.
