Well, he seems to have a full description. And he bought an AF 15 and sold a Playboy v1 #1(Marilyn Monroe). I am thinking collector/seller. Except for the Vermont Teddy Bears....that's just plain creepy.

Can you buy a restored 7.0 Tec 27 at $8,000? I don't think so. Do you think it would have any marketability, if you decide to sell it? Good Question, one you shouldn't even be pondering, if you think of comics as investments. grin.gif

Buttock, I know this book is a major key (and I'll admit that I don't have the faintest idea on FMV), but I'd be a bit wary of the brittleness. It sounds like the whole spine is brittle (not just cover but pages too), and kinda looks it from the back cover. Maybe get more clarification on this?

I think you're right. That probably cinches it for me unfortunately. This is one book I REALLY want.

The guy lives about 25 min from my hometown though!

I hear ya, and hate to kill your enthusiasm... frown.gif ...just don't want you to be stuck with a book you're disappointed with, at that kind of price level. With a brittle spine and potentially brittle edges, you might be afraid to even open & flip through the book unless it has some extensive conservation/resto. Do low-grade copies come around now and then, or is this a very rare occurence?

Pretty rare, especially with no resto. It wouldn't take long to get a restored copy, but one that's untouched is a true rarity.
