It's not that...I just don't want it to be sold out before I can get one. Happened to me a couple years ago...

 

Also, I leave the States again on Thursday so I can't just wait until the LCS gets more copies...

That's the correct way. As in, "Today is April 3rd, 2006."

If everyone just switched to 2006/04/03 it would make so much more sense. Most significant first and all....

That's an actual ISO standard , the International Date Format.

Outside of your 50 states just about every country lists the DAY/MONTH/YEAR.
