how early can that be if it has the Marvel box in the upper left on the Sgt. Fury book?

 

Well, the first issue of Sgt Fury had the logo, and I believe it started in early-1963. Don't forget to read the "... for Sgt Fury" part of my sentence.

 

I have far earlier Marvel SA ads, for ASM 1, Hulk 1, TOS 39, etc., but that's the earliest Sgt Fury I could find.

Interesting that Abel is pictured and not selling his own mag HoS.

Had it already been canceled at this point? For some reason I thought Ghosts ended before HoS...

 

Edit: Just checked comics.org. HoS ended in '78 while Ghosts ended '82. :foryou:
