How the bejesus does a mid-grade copy of Machine Man 18 violate anyone's rights? What a load.

Maybe DeMontFort etc. is an alien robot created by Jack Kirby.

Anyway, it sounds like you've been scammed. The email address of the accuser is xxx@... Maybe you should contact the company and demand to know what part of your auction violated one of their intellectual properties.

I'd be interested in hearing about this if you follow up.

I've had two auctions pulled:

One by ebay saying I put wording in the description specific to restraints of PayPal usage. Somebody outside the U.S.A. reported me after a failed attempt at payment. After numerous emails they confessed they made an error and I re-listed.

The other was for copyright infringements. I was selling a bootleg Led Zeppelin album, Strawberry Fields, which I bought in the late 70's/early 80's. I contacted the people via the link referenced in the email......they had me on that, I lost the auction.

If you contact the reference link xxx@demontfortfineart.co.uk they should answer your questions putting this to rest.

If they don't answer I'd re-list and take it to the next step. Save copies of all emails, documentation is good.

I removed the person's email and put in the xxx myself.

I e-mailed the person last night. Seems they entered the wrong auction number.

It's sort of annoying that eBay just takes any vero claims and acts upon them without any sort of investigating.

Might be a new scam, just don't go through any of those links and enter any passwords or private info. thumbsup2.gif

If the scammers were advanced enough to hack into ebay servers and delete auctions at will, then we've got a LOT more to worry about than making sure we're not handing over passwords or private info 27_laughing.gif

Funny this happened, but the other day I had an auction pulled. It was a t-shirt with a picture of the late (mild-mannered) painter Bob Ross and the caption, "I'm Bob Ross... BI*TCH!" Some little whiner complained to me that I should be ashamed of myself, that the Bob Ross company still sells art supplies, and that "I hopy [sic] you have the decency to pull the auction" (or something like that.)

I wrote back,

"I hopy you go fu*k yourself.

Sincerely,

heinlein99"

I guess they didn't like that reply too much because a few hours later the auction was pulled.
