To the admns. - Login problems

i've just opened a new account because i can't login (lost password) on the old account, if any of the admns. could pm me a new password for the "kermit the frog" previous account it would be nice (specially due to the pm i have in it).

1. I forgot my Login or Password on the main www.collectors-society.com site. (NOTE: this is a separate login and password from our chat boards.)

 

On the left hand side of the screen you will see the login and password area. Just below the login controls are a few links to help with this. As a quick tip, please remember that your login on the main site is simply your email address.

2. I forgot my login or password on the boards.collectors-society.com site - the Chat Boards (NOTE: this is a separate login and registration process from the main site)

 

When you click the "login" link on the boards you will find a login/password area toward the top of the page to allow you to login. However, you will also find that toward the bottom of the page there is a small form to fill in to have a temporary password emailed to you in case you forgot it.

 

Forget your password?

 

Enter your email address or login name that you registered with to have a temporary password mailed to you.

 

NOTE - after you have logged in with the temporary password you should go to the "My Home" link at the top to change your password to something else as the temporary password will eventually expire.

 

 

3. I'm having trouble signing up an account on the Chat Boards

 

There are a few common causes of this.

 

a. You are attempting to use a free email provider such as hotmail or yahoo. Because we have had some problems with people making multiple accounts on the boards to harass other members, we have chosen to disallow free email addresses. Whoever provides your Internet access should have given you an email address as well. Try that one. NOTE: No one but board administrators will be able to see your email address.as long as you do NOT put your email address in the OPTIONAL box labeled:

 

Email address (displayed in profile)

 

 

b. You did not check the "I Agree" box on the sign up screen to indicate that you agree to the terms. You must check this box to get signed up.

 

4. Other problems logging into and using the message boards
