Picked these up at a local show yesterday. Considering sending the War Stories and War Heroes in for grading.

I'd be happy in the 5.0 range on the War Stories #2 but I expect the War Heroes to be slightly lower due to cover splitting and some issues on the back cover

Beat but complete! Not sure how you grade a comic that looks like it may have been on fire at one time.

You could grade on the level of hotness it currently possesses.

First Sgt Rock ... there are usually a few CGC graded for sale at any given time on eBay 

but you are correct,,compared to other first appearances it is hard to find.....

As hard as #83 is to find , i think OAAW #1 is way tougher  - seldom offered for sale....

@1950's war comics Yes, but I at least have a hope of someday owning DC’s first war comic whereas I may never be able to afford OAAW #83 which is why I am not a completist when it comes to that title.

There wasn't enough blue on that cover, clearly.  And that was rectified.

Battle's have some nice covers...if I wasn't collecting all of the Big 5 titles, I would be going after these too.
