I got the #14 through Bill Hughes' auction in February with BigHulkFans help. Agreeing to purchase my 8.5 definitely made my life a lot easier.

Yes it did...it did take me a few minutes to open as there was a 3 foot layer of bubble wrap, padding, bubble wrap, padding, and bubble wrap...it could have been dropped out of a plane and would have been OK

It's even prettier than I thought!!

Truly a spectacular Spiderman!

 

 

I purchased the above a few months back as a raw 9.4 (and I thought I was taking a risk). Sent it to CGC which turned out ridiculously well:

 

 

Only problem is that it's literally too nice for me to justify keeping it in my collection! No way am I rich enough to sit on a book that has been known to sell for $1,600

 

I'll have to offload it and pick up a cheaper copy!

Sell it, buy a raw VF, and save yourself $1540.

 

Or if you want something nicer, get a CGC 9.0 for 1/10th of the price.

May just be the sour grapes talking here but with the ding in the upper LC, the crease above the Lizards tail on the spine and the folds/dings on the lower edge of the FC - there is no way in friggin' hell that should have come back as a 9.6...

 

I wish I could get that kind of a gift grade when I submit stuff. Any way I can find out who the graders were and request them to look over my stuff when I submit it???

That's not a crease above the Lizard's tail, that's artwork. Apart from that though I concur - I didn't expect a 9.6!

 

I'll probably do as suggested and downgrade, keeping the change
