I’ve never been an Annual collector even when I was a Spidey completist.

I get that for the reprint issues, but the first few in most runs are new stories. Worth picking up a Masterwork, especially the first Spidey annual. Oh and Strange Tales annual #2 is another one worth checking out.

I have Annual 1 and ST Annual 2, but that’s it.

I thought Annual #3 was hilarious when Spidey wanted to join the Avengers and they said, “Sure. We’ll let you in provided you take down the Hulk.”  Why didn’t they ask Pete to end world hunger while they were at it?

It is indeed a fairly silly story.

yeah, of the silver issues, only 6 is pure reprints. 1-5 are great books.

allow an old man who bought one off the rack to confirm that it was soooo cool!   and here is the very book my little 8-year old boy hands grabbed off said rack.

When I saw this pic I immediately thought of how many beat up Les Pauls, Strats and Teles I've seen over the years. You don't need to ask if they sound good or play well, because they seldom look like that if they don't! Same thing with an old comic book! Every crease and fold represents one of the countless times you turned to it to revisit that story! The tape repairs and extra staples show how reluctant you were to let this gem fall completely apart! Out of all of the books you own, I think I like THIS one the best!!!
