As for direct evidence of Kirby intentionally witholding new ideas, just look to the comics! I love them dearly, but it's a series of already existing villains and androids from 68 on. That Kirby was able to choose to do this offers evidence that he was the primary writer. Occasionally Stan would say "let's bring back Dr. Doom", and we got a rehash of "The Prisoner" in FFs 84-87. The Skrull story in 90-93 was inspired by Star Trek. The Surfer/Galactus story in 74-77 was ordered to promote Stan's solo Surfer book. It is also kind of a mess if you read it closely. Here's one from a convention over the weekend to go into the rough early FF collection I have going. Dealer did 20% off so I don't think I did too shabby for a complete copy that's still holding together (minus that bottom corner)

This book just arrived. It was sold to me by an IG user.

I was interested in this book, and I saw one listed on IG. I made an offer of $725 for this book, and the seller replied, "I had that book priced at $700." This seller could have easily taken my original offer, but he sold it to me at his original asking price. I find it to be quite refreshing that there are still some honest people in the world.

being a g.a. torch collector, i especially love the cover to 20; in the silver age, the torch is typically featured on the covers in flight, leaving a flaming trail behind him.  in the golden age, schomburg usually had him burning a hole thru something, and leaving a little ring of flame/molten material in his wake.   this is the only one i recall from the ff covers where he has the burning hole.  here are some good examples from the g.a.

He’s kind of burning through a stone wall on this cover, but not with the molten coloring of the G.A. torch.

WTF?  When was this released?  Marvel mostly ate DC's lunch around this time, so watching DC try to denigrate the characters that were killing them is ironically funny.
