I love this thread. The distribution by year is very interesting. It's wild to me that you can have zero in 2006 and jump to seven in 2007, strange stuff like that. As an aside, I bet there are sports covers that have a similar distribution where you have say plenty of bowling or tennis covers in the 40s and 50s and it starts to drop off and by the 80s they almost don't exist.

This is indeed a great thread. When I first started hanging out here I thought, why would anyone collect covers of paratroopers and how many could there be? Clicking through the thread I'm amazed at how many great paratrooper covers there are.

Thanks for the compliment guys, still many trooper books I imagine as not being identified as yet. As for why there are so many trooper books being published in one year and not in the next...is my next project. But of course it goes without saying why 1940-1946 has the most published.

Yes you did, got a nice copy of that True Adventures too. Just took a closer look at that CPT Battle Jr 1, not a trooper cover after all. The planes are droping bombs.... bummer cause it's still a sweet cover.

Got a bunch more in today!

 

Do some of you forget which books you have and buy a double by accident?

 

I did, I already own a CGC 8.0 copy of the below book...bought another by accident. At least this copy is the Big Apple ped copy, I'll probably end up keeping both.
