Later on, the editors are asking military men to send in their jokes to be illustrated / put in a letter col (?). I'll put together that ad tomorrow (scans on another computer).

Yessir, it's a good thing that you didn't do anything crass like just showing the left page.

Sir, you have the same dirty mind I have tongue.gif

Know anyone working on germ warfare? -

YUK! Corrosive fly excrement!

Señorita Rio (is that her?) sure does pick functional outfits for prowling.

The artist (Grandenetti?) apparently had trouble drawing feet.

Quit it right there. I happen to like Miss Rio's outfits! sumo.gif You should see what Modesty Blaise is wearing.

Oh and Miss Rio seems to be a sort of Uranium specialist -

Jack,

here's clearly a Grandenetti Senorita Rio in the Spirit-style -

I've not seen Grandenetti work in such a realistic style. That's beautiful! 893applaud-thumb.gif

You're getting way ahead of me!

VERY Spirit-like -- great splash page. What do they mean by Liquid Gold in the story?

Lord knows when we're going to get to a PToCB update. We've got mountains of material, some of it thanks to your great finds, but no time to post it. Winter break came and went too quickly. I think we need to simplify the format and just get the scans out there.

Thanks,

Jack

Great! Glove box and all!

Morgan Hawkins is the writer? He does like this sort of plot, doesn't he?

Which issue is the page from?

Thanks,

Jack

How about diamond, Jack? Here's a page that not only mentions them but showcases them in the layout. Rather nifty -

Good one -- specific allotrope and a "microscopic world" entry. The filename gives the issue? (Rangers 32)

Thanks again.

Jack

Are you also looking for microscopic world stories? As in, if I come across one, I should let you know?

Always, hence the previous Sra Rio story about Uranium was from Fight 60. thumbsup2.gif

Standard stuff: oil -

A good opportunity to show a cool splash (literally!) anyway.

And the Señorita's boyfriend is my namesake? I'm honored!

Thanks,

Jack

Not personally but I know someone who is. (Maybe even the world's expert)

I'll forward the Rangers reference to him.

Here's Grandenetti freelancing what essentially is a Spirit story for Fiction House in Rangers # 54 -

Tom L.?

Art Lortie. I asked about subatomic world stories when I was writing up Wonder Woman 21 and got a detailed history from him.
