Which is worse from the eyes of CGC graders?

 

1. Small color breaking creases

2. Small tears

3. Moisture damage on the cover (wavyness to the cover page)

Moisture.

In my experience, they hammer moisture. Depends on the extent of the damage, of course.

All things being equal on the book, they seem to be hardest on moisture, then tears, then small creases. It depends of course, on severity of each of the flaws.

I opened a slabbed DD #18 CGC 5.5 which looks like a 8.5/9.0 except for wavyness on 25% of the cover page
