WARNING FAKE ERIC POWELL AUCTION ON EBAY

6 posts in this topic

A quick warning to my fellow listers.

I own the page listed in this auction, I have not sold it, it is still in my possession. The seller does not have it, he is a crook.

Fraudulent Ebay Eric Powell Auction

here is a link to the page on my site.

Please warn everyone who you think may bid, if you recognize the bidders names please email them. I have notified Ebay and am waiting for their response right now. Be Warned.

Do you think I should confront the seller or let EBay shut it down?

I'd give eBay their chance first, hopefully they will do the right thing.

I agree,,,otherwise he could end this auction and just start another.

True...but all eBay is going to do is have him end the auction anyway...and that's IF they get around to it before the auction ends. If you first threaten him with action, he'll probably just take it down...and hopefully reconsider such actions in the future. You could mention something along the lines of, "this one's free...but next time, I go to the proper authorities to report you for international mail fraud"...something along those lines.

I've just had one too many experiences where eBay doesn't act quickly or decisively enough to change anything.
