PGM Amazing Spider-Man #34 CGC prescreen #3

13 posts in this topic

Hi all,

This is book #3 from my stack of prescreens. Notes include spine stress, corner crunch bottom spine, color rub top edge and top spine. One interior page sticks out and has a crease? Do you think it makes the grade? 7.5 prescreen.

Thanks in advance.

Dan

the halo-effect on the back cover? Does anyone know what causes that?

Dan

Yep . . . the colored inks on the back page of newsprint are "bleeding oil" onto the inside back cover . . . and leaving that characteristic stain pattern. This is one of the reasons we use microchamber paper between the newspint and the cover stock. grin.gif

6.5 - 7.0 (cream - light tanning?)

Don't believe so. Are you referring to the halo-effect on the back cover? Does anyone know what causes that?

Dan

Looks like an oil transfer stain.
