CGC and ACTOR Join Forces for Charity

CGC (Comics Guaranty, LLC.) and ACTOR (A Commitment To Our Roots) are proud to announce that they both will be hosting a special Signature Series Signing during Wizard World Chicago with Ultimate Spider-Man artist extraordinaire, Mark Bagley!

ACTOR, A Commitment To Our Roots, is the first-ever federally chartered non-profit-organization dedicated strictly to helping comic book industry veterans. Through ACTOR, a safety net is created. Financial Aid is available for comic book creators who may need emergency operations, necessities of life, or sometimes a helping hand back into active works in the comic book industry. It is a chance for us all to give back something to the people who have given us so much enjoyment.

CGC has proudly committed to donating 40% of proceeds to ACTOR. Each Modern tier book will cost $21 each plus shipping and handling. That means that ACTOR will receive $8.40 for each book submitted for the CGC Signature Series!

The special CGC label will read "SIGNED BY MARK BAGLEY ON -/--/03 AT WIZARD WORLD CHICAGO FOR A.C.T.O.R." and the book will be encapsulated in our tamper evident and archival state-of-the-art-holder. It is our industries only 100% authenticated signature and we will be taking submissions for it at the ACTOR Booth!

Mark Bagley’s Charity Signature Series Signing Schedule:

Friday, August 8

2:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Saturday, August 9

11 am - 2 pm

Sunday, August 10

11 am - 2 pm

Please support this wonderful cause!

You should contact Peter Dixon at Paradise Comics. He arranges Signature Series books for people who can't go to conventions. Basically, you send him the books you want signed and he gets them signed for you. They are submitted to CGC and shipped from CGC to you.

His e-mail address is paradisecomics@on.aibn.com

Is there any way of getting a Signature Series Book and not have to be at the show?

Email these guys paradisecomics@wiznet.ca and tell them that you are interested in sending in a book(s) for the Signature Series and what artists.

They do all of my Signature Series books, and are great to deal with. They will be able to set you up with no problems.

Plitch,

You should really see if Wizard will advertise this on their web site. Bagley is listed as signing at the ACTOR site, but there is no mention of any proceeds going to ACTOR. This may give you a wider audience too...

Very nice. I'll be putting in a few books for this myself. grin.gif

After Ebay sales, such as these, I'm sure others will as well:
