What would you do to get your Holy Grail? (Other than crime!)

42 posts in this topic

Well My grail is nice Mcfarlane original art. and The ultimate 100 sketch cover produced that grail so I am selling many things to be able to try and afford it.

I know the person that owns the splash page of ASM 300...

That guy collected OA years ago, before I even though about it.

He also owns the COVER to Hulk 340!

Or atleast he used to.

I wonder if the old boy remembers me (he is a millionare ya know)

it would be cool if he posted some of those OAs here

but I am sure he is much too busy running his software company.

I would work hard and save my money until I was able to buy it. Oh, wait, I already buy my books that way......

Ditto. As much as I love comics, it's still just a hobby in the scheme of my life. No book is worth going into debt for.

There was only one thing that he liked more that McFarlane art...

and that was original Star Wars movie props that were originally used on the

star wars sets...

While in San Fran he and I took a trip to skywalker ranch so he could pick-up a piece.

Lucas wasn't there, and unfortunately I didn't get to meet him.

Did pick-up some nice t-shirts and memoribilia though.

Well, time payments is the way I'm going to go...I do owe some board members money, which I will be all squared by the 27th & I need to honor first. If the seller agrees to my terms, then I won't have to sell off my X-Men collection...If he doesn't & I have to suck it up & sell them off I will do so...

Work, save...repeat

I might take on an extra job until I can buy the grail, but I would never go into debt, sell stuff or make do without other things.

If you want something extra, you work a little extra confused-smiley-013.gif
