selegue
"Uranium is heavier than iron." No wonder people don't understand the difference between weight or mass and density. They're taught wrong from the beginning. (Pet peeve.) Welll...it is heavier on the charts... Don't make me resort to smileyfaces!! Which is heavier? A ton of iron or a ton of uranium? Which is heavier? A cubic centimeter of iron or a cubic centimeter of uranium? My last word on mass vs density. Yosemite Jack
selegue
What's the difference between "Silvery" and "Silverish?" The person that chose the word. JPS
143ksk
I'm just funnin' you I've had enough physics and chemistry to not want to revisit mass, density, weight or any other of those issues for the rest of my life
selegue
I'm just funnin' you On a comic-book forum? I'm shocked! (You probably figured out from my response that I realized that. I don't even own a blunderbuss.) I've had enough physics and chemistry to not want to revisit mass, density, weight or any other of those issues for the rest of my life ME TOO! podboy66
Normally, I'd run like hell from an extensively restored book, but I couldn't pass this one up... So your the spoon, that sniped me at the last minute. Congrats, its a beauty!
nearmint
I barely got the bid in. I forgot that even when you're logged onto the Heritage site, you still have to enter your password to bid. By the time I typed it in and hit enter, I think there were 4 seconds left in the auction! I had a feeling other board members were bidding, but then, these days I always assume I'm bidding against other boardies.
october
Normally, I'd run like hell from an extensively restored book, but I couldn't pass this one up... You could have bought it from me when I offered it on the boards a year ago. Couldn't give the book away.

october
How much were you asking? I just checked and I was wrong. I was asking $800, but would have taken $600, so you got a good deal. I would have bid on the it myself, but completely forgot about the auction. The book was given to me on consignment. Wish I could remember who I eventually sold it to. Comicdey
Large Feature Comic #7 (Whitman 715) Extremely nice copy for an old 1939 volume and hard to come by with pages like these. Wow! That's in great shape! I always see LFs beat up. Thanks, I've never seen another one even close to this nice, so it's good to have someone appreciate it like I do. I'm sure the big dogs have some, but they haven't been presented on the boards....yet.
