I think I liberated the Sure Fires I used to have, I don't see them...but I DO have this, as my contribution to the thread, just got it yesterday from a friend:)

Never seen this before - what a cover! :applause:

It's just your average "Fire-Breathing Hitler Head-Splitting Bondage Nazi Submarine Flag cover...Larson pedigree"

whew! :P

This Rockford copy was just too darn pretty to pass up from my buddy Roger. AND it has Wolverton Space Hawk <3

Cool book Pons! Busy building up a stash for your upcoming con?

Yep

hm upcoming con hm

That looks like a cover by Bob Woods but I thought that Sid Greene usually did the Target. Who did the art inside?

bb

The cover is signed by Bob Wood. I'll check the interior tonight

Interior checked. Bob Wood as well.

I didn't realize that Bob Wood had drawn so many early Target stories. I guess your cover (V2#6) is the last one that he did.

By V2#9, Sid Greene was doing the covers and the interior art.

ciorac,

I have some early Targets but that isn't one of them. I photoshopped a scan by someone else.

It looks a little like Wood but it is probably more Greene trying to look like Wood.

He did the internal story and signed and it looks completely different so you know that it was Greene and Wood was not involved.

Wood did a lot of characters and is sometimes given credit for polishing up the early Batman (or doing the whole thing) for Kane.

It seems reasonable to me. Kane signed his name to work done by a lot of different artists.

Catmans are undervalued but not under appreciated :)
