Too late for the Fun with Numbers thread but I just got this one today. I wonder if I won any money.

Maybe there's a coupon for a free Kooba Cola inside also!

Posted this in the pulp thread but I don't think anyone ever visits it anymore.

This is the very rare Flash Gordon Strange Adventures Magazine No.1 pulp from 1936. According to some sources it was not licensed by King Features, which probably accounts for its scarceness as well as the fact that the second issue promised in an ad was never published.

It's pretty rare but it does come up occasionally. I've only ever seen three or four for sale. Heritage sold a restored one a couple of years ago. Steve/Shocase had one for sale a while back. i think I've seen one other one on ebay a couple of years ago.

I'll defintely post some interior pics when I get the chance. (thumbs u

I believe Gene Carpenter had one for sale the last time I saw him, which was probably at Baltimore last year.

I like Gene a lot, but at his prices, likely it is still available today (thumbs u

I had the "Lost Valley" copy. Bought it at SD Con when the collection came to market. Sold it to a fellow in Japan, he sold it on eBay shortly after that. I'd say it's about a Gerber 8 in scarcity (more scarce than rare). (thumbs u
