cheetah
Thanks, Alan. I kinda thought it would be my only chance for a long time. Where did you see the MH copy. I probably already know, though.
adamstrange
Thanks, Alan. I kinda thought it would be my only chance for a long time. Where did you see the MH copy. I probably already know, though. Chicago Con. Verzyl had it though I know someone was trying to work a deal with him on the book. Another nice aspect of a 1940 issue like that is how physically "big" the book is. october
This came out of an estate sale of an aviation hobbiest, I paid 100.00 for it. not a bad copy at all. Suprizingly white for its age 1941 Ogden did some nice work on Skyman. Issue 2 is my favorite. I own that exact copy of Skyman 2...did I send you a scan of it or is that just a coincidence? CrocHntr
I picked #1 up last night to finish off the short run. 2 and 3 are Detroit Trolleys. Great books! Why does #3 say "Origin and 1st appearance of Cyclone"? Is that just a misprint? Nice pickups!
Sqeggs
Here is my most recent copy of the 1935 Whitman DD #978. This makes my fourth high grade copy I have found over 25 years. Too bad CGC does't grade this size book. I think it must be one of the best copies around. Too big even for the magazine holder?

Earthshaker01
Yes the Donald Duck is just a little larger than a magazine sizr. Was thinking of taking it to Wondercon next week to see if they can do it yet.
jimbo_707
Funny animal books don't get much love nowadays, so I thought I'd post these two Dell file copies I bought from Sparkle City back in 1988.

BB-Gun
I like that Weird Tales cover. Thanks again Todd. Always like that Supersnipe too. SuperSnipe from eBay last week? I was probably your under-bidder Thanks for bidding the price up. Now we need to fight over a few westerns. I find it hard to resist the relatively low prices for Supersnipe, westerns and Fawcetts. Disney prices seem low too but not FC 9 and 29, unfortunately. These are all fun comics...and an especially evil looking pulp cover.
