Congrats, I was an underbidder on that.  I love the pre-dating consumer television cover.

Thx .    Me too.

Found these in the wild earlier today!!!  I'm pretty happy (but wish a lot of the spines were not taped, especially because the majority didn't need any reinforcement)...

Sorry for the picture size!  I'm still trying to figure out this new format/forum...  Cheers!

Awesome! Is there more of a story you can share?

These books belonged to a man whose neighbor gave them to him prior to moving out of state decades ago (they were the neighbor's son, who was an artist and why he kept the books).  They sat in a box until recently when he recently decided to sell them.  Sorry about the lack of information but this is all that was shared with me.  I asked on the spine tape and the buyer didn't know....  But he did tell me he has a bunch of big little books from the 30's and 40's he is interested in selling...

I guess that magazine is the 1st appearance of Marilyn Monroe (it was a throw in on our deal).(shrug)

Cool; thank you! I just love the stories of how these original collections get preserved and unearthed. We do kind of record our hobby's history here. Congrats, what an awesome batch to haul to the surface after all these years! (thumbsu
