Not in order, just 10 random things that make me cringe and/or very overused:

1. Great condition for its age!

2. Very Rare

3. Key Issue

4. Very hard to find!

5. SUPER BRIGHT!

6. This one's got it all!

7. Great candidate for CGC (So why didn't they do it? Hate making more money?)

8. L@@K in the title

9. W@W in the title

10. Book is in Nice condition

Off the top of my head 'I'm working Sunday' comments.

Anyone else?

Two that come to mind are;

1) found in my grandfather's/grandmother's attic

2) mint condition except for the mould on the cover, 11 stress cracks on the spine, 1 long crease down the entire length of the comic, and 1/2 " piece missing from the front cover and 1st 3 pages.

How about:

I'm selling these for a friend and know nothing about comics.

-or-

I don't own a scanner or a camera so no I can't give you a picture, but trust me, it's mint.

This is my #1...

(Title) Toughguy #1 HIGH GRADE! L@@K!

(Description) This book is in Fair condition. The paper is brown and cracking. Nothing you wouldn't expect from a comic that is 25 years old.

"A Private Auction to dissuade the "Thrill/Joy-Bidders" that are generally attracted to books of this nature in these extreme grades, to preserve the integrity of the auction for the well-intending bidders, and to ensure bidder/winner confidentiality." 893scratchchin-thumb.gif

A few that spring to mind:

1) 'comic book' in the auction listing - (really?... no 893censored-thumb.gif)

2) I am not a collector, but these look mint to me

3) CGC NM - and then, when you open the auction, it's a 9.0

4) NM except for a few stress marks and a tiny fold in the right lower corner

5) they are in good condition (what? good as in grade, or good subjectively)

6) see scan (followed by a postage stamp sized image below)

7) VG to NM

A few more...

(Title) So and So #1 NM

(Description) This book is VF to VF/NM

and...

Don't send me an email asking me about the grade. You can see it for yourself in the scan provided.

(The scan is so small you can barely make out the title of the book)
