CAP Freak
Does anyone have any other Halloween covers? Little Lulu had a nice run of Halloween (and other holiday / seasonal theme) covers early on. This is my favorite fall cover which has Halloween on the side Hi, Bob! Always loved that cover too! I agree Great cover Edited November 2, 2007 by CAP_FFreek

BangZoom
I love the Halloween cover. I purchased a Barks lithograph of that scene many years ago and it now hangs in my daughter's bedroom.
BB-Gun
I wasn't smart enough to purchase a lithograph or the Barks art book with high quality reproductions of his paintings but I do have a lot of comics by Barks. bb
BangZoom
I wish someone would publish a book reproducing Cole's covers.

Scrooge
Excellent. Let's see if we can continue to play that game. Do you have a copy of the book in which this appeared ... I am not even sure which books it did! -
BangZoom
The other mouse is fun too. Especially when fighting giant robots. I loved the Mighty Mouse cartoons when I was a kid. Back in the early 70's Terry Toons must have emptied their warehouse because stacks of original artwork to their comics and never used movie posters for their 1940's animated cartoons came on the market. I purchased 50 different posters at $5 each from a NYC dealer.
Scrooge
These are also good ones from a Destroyer story obviously - I love the panel where Hitler is pushed around by Madam Satan and she pulls on his ear

Scrooge
The stories are of the kid gang type, but they often shocked me with a sense of real danger the kids were often in. Lots of guns, knifeplay, kidnapping, dirty-dealing, etc. Wow! I thought they were light comedy like the short films! Here's an example of knife-play in the Our Gang series -
Scrooge
Pet tigers can be sooooo much help, can't they? Although, ... I mean, who else but Trojak takes time to train their pet tiger to start and blow up things on their own?
Scrooge
One last random post for tonight. The more I see Hanks's work, the more that guy seems crazy. I do like the weird machine and how it's operated in the bottom tier -
Point Five
The more I see Hanks's work, the more that guy seems crazy. Ya think? (I just pulled the trigger on a Fantastic Comics #8...more Hanks goodness on the way!)
