sacentaur
Gorgeous looking copy, Steve. Larson pedigree? I wish - it is a (GA) New Hampshire copy. Unfortunately it has undisclosed resto (minor c/t), but the pages are white and the colors are bright, so I can live with it.

Scrooge
Seeing Bill's Uncle Sam # 1 posted last night reminded me of posting this story. I have posted only a single page before but here's the whole story from Uncle Sam Quarterly # 2. Yet, another proof (as if we needed it) of Eisner's genius and how ahead of his times he was -

Scrooge
As well as my late friend Dan Barry. If you ever had the chance to meet and spend some time with Dan you were in for a treat. He was quite a personality. Very cool, Mr. C. To prove I really am a sucker for strip reprints, I recently (last 3 months (?)) bought this new Flash Gordon collection. It starts to collect Dan Barry's run on the dailies past the Kurtzman strip that have already been reprinted by Kitchen Sink (?) a while ago. The volume contains 3 continuities from 1953 - 1954. In the first continuity, Al Williamson was helping Dan Barry on the art chores. The pages below though were not touched by Al. All good
