BB-Gun
Good job Jack! Who is the artist? bb From GCD (info on #2) maybe Jack Alderman on Jeep and Peep. No info on Solid Jackson. Jack I don't think it is Jack Alderman. The art is quite different compared to issue 2. bb Edited March 20, 2008 by BB-Gun

BangZoom
Wow! Ed Wood could have turned that story into an incredible film. It would have been a drive-in classic.

BangZoom
I was almost expecting some kind of EC ending to that story. Apparently, blackmail can be a useful dating tool. Who knew. Great artwork on that strip.

selegue
A tree fighting a ship...that is crazy! (wonderful stuff as always, BZ ) Great science jibber-jabber! "Chlorophyll atomic animator!" "Atomic chemical field" "Chemical X233" Do we get to see how Jeep and Peep stop this madman? Jack ("Watch that old elm -- he's slippery!" HAR!) Great artwork on that strip. Who knew? Not Bill, the poor sap. Speaking of EC and Bills... What if Baker had worked for Gaines? That art would have been something to see. Whenever that question pops into my head, I immediately think of Graham Ingles. Ingles' "Auro, Lord of Jupiter" is great, but his EC work is something else. Any Ingles books in that great collection? Anyway, glad you dug it BZ. Edited March 20, 2008 by Doctor Svord

ajaxfarrell
I was going to post a picture I've found of a 1939 NEWSSTAND here, but since I have a few other AWESOME newsstand picture discoveries, I decided to start up a new thread. I welcome anyone who cares to BEHOLD THE BEAUTY of comic books on display at the DAWN OF THE GOLDEN AGE to follow THIS LINK to FANTASY LAND ....(that should be hard to resist).... I was originally going to post this here as a contribution to the wide array of WONDERFUL pictures that BANGZOOM has shared with us. I thought it would fit right in here....However, I don't want it to distract or derail anything. Plus, in the spirit of the COMIC QUIZZES.....there is one cover in particular, out of six...that should puzzle some of you for at least a few minutes.... Anyway, that's about it, moving right along.................................
