BZ,

have you ever seen this pulp or series?

It's dated Summer 1933 and was released by Centaur Publications. I suppose it has nothing to do the other Centaur but this one was new on me.

I never heard of it. :o

I see via philsp.com that the second and third issue of that title ran stories by Major Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson which is an interesting bit of trivia.

The only Centaur pulp related magazine I have in my collection is Detective Digest.

Did they publish these as well? I think there is some mention of the comics in these later issues.

This ad was from a Centaur comic if I recall.

I forgot about them.

Comet was published by H-K Publications (Joseph J. Hardie and Raymond J. Kelly).

That may help explain why a couple DC stories landed in Centaur comics since they were already acquainted with each other.

I think I have a Comet pulp lying around but never made the connection. This is another great example of what makes the Boards, and this thread in particular, rock! :headbang:

Major Hoople Comics #1

Thanks again for hosting another quiz BZ. They're a lot of fun.

:hail: My first guess on that one was Real Life Comics. At least I had the right publisher :acclaim:

Why is that not surprising? Dang dude.

My first guesses were Tell it to the Marines and U.S. Marines in Action. It was a weird luck deal. I was actually looking at Major Hoople to try to find the cartoon flower cover.
