Your favorite BACK covers?

84 posts in this topic

I recently finished scanning my entire collection, front and back, and saw some interesting back covers along the way. Anyone else have any back covers they think are cool and/or funny?

I always liked this one...something about the expression on Frankie's face amuses me (56k beware):

Nice. I remember liking those Jack Davis-drawn basketball back covers from the mid/late '70s.

And the one with the hypodermic needle..."The Hit that Ended the Game." VERY '70s...and kinda creepy, too.

This one is cool too...I'm sure it's a dumb question, but what does the kid mean by "Ho" in the bottom-left panel?

HO gauge (or, more properly, HO scale), 1/87th as large as real life. gossip.gif

What does the HO stand for?

Thanks...I would have tried Wikipedia, but it's blocked here at work...I just found it elsewhere though...Half Zero, which is weird because it's an O, not a 0 (except in continental Europe apparently). I guess it's easier to say "HO" instead of "H Zero" or "Half Zero". Can't you tell how exciting work is today?
