Anyone know about these Planet Stories issues with these beautiful covers? I just came accross them and was amazed at the covers. The Other Worlds cover is a beauty too.

Welcome to the wacky world of pulps (not to be confused with "pulp fiction").

 

If you love retro science fiction images (and frankly, who doesn't?), jump on in! The web is full of resources for pulps (my links here are just the tip of the iceberg).

Pulps are great -- great art, the writing runs the gamut from awful to fabulous (early Heinlein, Asimov, Sturgeon, etc), and still very affordable.
