I actually saw some Drizzt comics from the Dark Elf Trilogy on ebay a few weeks ago.

 

And yeah, the Dragonlance Saga is definitely on my list- don't care it they're worth a dime as they were some fun mags to read back in the day.

Are these considered any better than the D&D comics put out (in the late 80's early 90's I believe) by DC?

 

I remember being quite disappointed by those.

What about the 1988 Dragonlance series put out by DC, which ran for 34 issues? TSR is listed on all the covers.

No, the stories of most of the TSR published books are in my opinion worse than the books DC did about TSR characters.

 

The appeal of the TSR books is some fun/cool covers (IMO) and deliciously bad stories.

I have a full set of those. I preferred DC's Advanced Dungeons and Dragons series but the Dragonlance stuff was nice. Not re-read any since they came out but I remember thinking at the time that the Spelljammer series was the worst of the DC published ones.
