Mutant massacre - They wiped out my 3 favorite x-men - Kitty, colossus & Nightcrawler. I actually wrote a letter to marvel about how pissed I was. I stopped reading the title very soon after that, Only picking up issues here & there for the next few years.

Are they really dead? (I haven't read an issue of X-Men in probably 20 years. Well, not one I liked, anyway.)

no, but they got messed up for quite awhile in the books! Good call Shiver...what a great series!

The one who got it the worse was Angel...

For me, it was:

- Making Hal Jordan go crazy, kill all those other GLs, and become Parallax. I freakin' *hated* DC for a long time for that.

- Killing Barry Allen. My hatred continued. smile.gif

- Disbanding the old JLA and bringing in Vixen, Vibe, and Steel as their replacements. I'm surprised they actually thought it was a good idea. smile.gif

Ditto. Except I missed the GL craziness; heard about it 2nd hand. I'm sure I'd be pissed about that too.

I also wrote to DC about them killing off the Flash, then my logical marketting side realized (before issue 12) that they didn't off Flash...they off'ed Barry Allen.

My jaw also dropped during the Massacre when Colossus walked right up to that razor-whipping tornado villain(?) and *krek* there goes his neck. Then he turns to Mr Harpoon Guy stating something to the effect of "If you have a God...pray to him now." 893whatthe.gif

The Death of Phoenix in X-Men #137 was one.

She got better. gossip.gif

Nah. That was, like the insane exhumation of Norman Osborne's corpse, an imaginary tale set forth by the worst hack-nerds imaginable.
