Spider-Man Blue- Did It Blow?

So I'm a big Spider-Man fan. Problem is I'm not terribly up to schnuff on the more modern stuff. Now, I've read a little of Jeff Loeb's work and liked it, and I understand he did the ''Spider-Man: Blue'' series. What's the overall verdict on this one? Is it anygood? Art, storyline? How many parts are there in the series, and lastly, is it worth paying more than cover price for the issues?

It's worth buying a trade of. I thought it was one of the best spidey stories I've read in a long time.

 

I'd love to see an over sized HC with all of loeb/sale's 'color' stories at marvel.

I liked it. Not the biggest Tim Sale fan, but overall it was good. Got the hardcover edition for Christmas the year it came out. I like having all the books rolled into one volume better than the inidividual issues.

I thought it was a good read. Not quite as good as Loeb's Batman work like "The Long Halloween" or "Dark Victory" but still worth a look.
