I do, however, miss the running commentary that this format lacks . . .

People should return once the book has received a signifigant amount of votes and discuss what their grade was and why they chose it. This book would be a good one for discussion because of the grade spread so far. Are some people missing some things, like the pen mark on the price box? How do some judge the dust shaadow? Etc.

I gave it an 8.0:

 

• the pen mark in the price box (yup, I saw it)

• 5 very minor but visible stress lines on the spine

• a tiny fold or piece missing in the ULC back cover

• dust shadow down the bottom half of the left side of the BC

A few spine stress marks make this a tough call...8.5 to 9.0....

I voted 9 because I assumed the dust shadow was not tanning on the interior. If it is tanning on the interior then the book would drop below a VF
