New CGC Numeric to Alpha Grading Scale

Here's my suggestion for the new CGC Numeric to Alpha Grading Scale...

 

CGC 10.0 - "Don't Get Excited, It's Probably Just A Chromium Cover."

CGC 9.9 - "It's 0.1 higher than 9.8? Wow, add a zero to the selling price!"

CGC 9.8 - "Unbelievable Grade!!! What?!? It's Modern?!? No big whoop."

CGC 9.6 - "Too Good For Near Mint, Not Good Enough For Speculation."

CGC 9.4 - "Near Mint - This Grade, and Only This Grade, is Near Mint."

CGC 9.2 - "Near Mint's Ugly Step-Sister."

CGC 9.0 - "9 out of 10! 9 out of 10! (Pssst, are they bidding yet?)"

CGC 8.5 - "Try To Break Even On The Cost of the CGC Slab."

CGC 8.0 - "If it's Action #1, Get Really Excited... Otherwise, Forget It."

CGC 7.5 - "Perfect...Except For The Crease From My Back Jeans Pocket."

CGC 7.0 - "If this was school, You'd get a 'C'."

CGC 6.5 - "There goes the possibility of a pedigree."

CGC 6.0 - "It's just a harmless two inch spine split... really."

CGC 5.5 - "If 5 out of 10 is average, chalk me up for 'above average'."

CGC 5.0 - "My Little Brother Didn't Like This Comic Very Much"

CGC 4.5 - "One little water ring and they act like it's the end of the world."

CGC 4.0 - "Scotch tape should NOT affect the grade."

CGC 3.5 - "Not bad for a book I once dropped and stomped on."

CGC 3.0 - "Whaddya know, it's a 3... like the number of rings in my binder."

CGC 2.5 - "There's a cover and pages, what more do you really need?"

CGC 2.0 - "Boldly Laughing at all those 1.8s."

CGC 1.8 - "It's not a typo, it really IS better than 1.5."

CGC 1.5 - "My cousin told me this book was the Honus Wagner of comics!"

CGC 1.0 - "It's called a Pin-Up because you're SUPPOSED to rip it out, and pin it up!"

CGC 0.5 - "Numeric = 0.5, Alpha = P.O.S."
