I think I've been undergrading some books lately (not that it's been a problem), so I'm just curious what the rest of you think about this comic? Sorry for the photos v. scans, but it's not in my collection so this is what I've got to work with

2.5 - 3.0 can't really grade sideways with the extendo-frame and crappy photos.

Yeah, photobucket was being tempermental with me tonight. I swore at it, but it didn't change anything as you can see. And a crappy photographer does little for it as well

Wow- good eye. No it's not though-- it's the storeowners. He sells both comics and sports cards. I'm just trying to get a grade on the book before any money changes hands.

book looks like it had a moderate spine roll pressed out by an amateur some time back, not that it would affect the grade

I have an ASM 14 in similar condition got a 2.5 so I go with the 2.5

I'll check with George about holding the book for you. My wife's been listing to me complain about not having the spare cash for it (since I'm trying to save for my ASM 1 low-grade), so she'll be happy once it's gone I'm sure.

Yeah...I'll take the 54 Mays...I had a 54 Aaron rookie card as a kid and lost it somewhere along the way (or perhaps one of my "buddies" "borrowed" it (?))

I'd give it a Good or a Good-. It has quite a bit of Marvel chipping, lots of spine stresses, and that big diagonal crease in the FBRC. When the book is opened it looks as though there is huge stain on the next to last page.

There's some dust shadowing, but no moisture/water staining at all. And if by cellphone you mean $300+ camera, then you got it! I just forgot to adjust the file settings from "economy" setting to "high-depth" picture setting.
