I would buy on ebay and not through dealers. Animation art is basically on life support and you can find some good deals if you are patient.

I tend to agree with that...dealer sites seem to mark up cels so much higher ...as usual, great deals can be found ebay...

I did some research yesterday and both of you are on point. The cels on dealers websites are priced much higher than similar ones on ebay. I will keep my eye on ebay and snag them when I can since they are pretty affordable.

Every now and then I hunt down a few animation pieces. Mostly He-man and She-ra. The good cells from these series sell for $40-$100 each. goes for $10 if at all.

 

Backgrounds go for much more. They usually start at $50 and depending on the the layout up to $200. I have yet to see a Castle Greyskull or Snake Mountain background. Those would sell for big bucks.

 

I did score some Smurf backgrounds of the village. They were only $20-$30 each and look great.
