Readcomix Posted January 25, 2022 That ufo theme in Tip Top 202 is a surprising departure. Very cool! Link to comment
jr70 Posted January 25, 2022 That was a nice grab the other day. If I wasn't so deep into the warren stuff I was thinking about it. Charlie Brown is still awesome all these years later. I actually picked up and enjoyed the Charlie Brown goes to Scotland book last year. Reminded me of the Bon Voyage Charlie Brown movie from when I was a kid! dover 1 Link to comment

dover Posted January 27, 2022 Tip Top Comic 200. This contains 4-page story with Lucille and Chuck playing golf. Also a cute Snoopy solo adventure. BanjerD 1 Link to comment
Readcomix Posted January 30, 2022 That Tip Top 200 has got to be one of a very few appearances by adults in the Peanuts world. Rip, dover and steveinthecity 3 Link to comment

AJD Posted February 6, 2022 Those are great, thanks for scanning them. I recognise many of them as Peanuts Sunday strips. But I think the golf story might be original to the comics? dover 1 Link to comment

Readcomix Posted February 12, 2022 So does that issue contain the first Lucy pulling away the football gag? That reads like it is. I mean, I assume it’s a reprint of a strip, but I’d guess it’s the first deployment of that gag. dover and steveinthecity 2 Link to comment

One of the reasons I started collecting raw copies was to document the comic book appearances and try to determine questions like this. I have a large number of the raw copies documented and dated so that I can try to understand. Working through this and sharing the great Peanuts here is fun. steveinthecity and TupennyConan 2 Link to comment
