  1. This thread is unbelievable.... I am so jealous of some of the awesome books here...
  2. Kudos to Nik! Amazing sale in that thread and those books are worth every penny!
  3. Yeah, that book is sweet isn't it Nik? If you get it graded, let me know what it comes back... book was almost perfect.
  4. My most recent pick up from b-more... should have posted it here sooner...
  5. Well -- it's no space vixens... but here's one of the slabs I picked up:
  6. According Julie Schwartz, the early B&B and JLA covers did not feature Superman/Batman because he wanted to feature the other characters since supes/bats had their own solo books. i was assuming it was a Dave Cockrum / Wolverine thing where the artist just didn't like the characters all that much and thus left them off Mike Sekowsky later starts adding them onto the covers... I know there are some people who don't like the Brave and the Bold 28 cover, but for me, it's one of my faves (even without the big 2)
  7. According Julie Schwartz, the early B&B and JLA covers did not feature Superman/Batman because he wanted to feature the other characters since supes/bats had their own solo books.
  8. very nice B&B 28 for a 4.5! Wish I still had my JLAs -- but sold them off awhile back.
  9. Sweet books Sully -- you're a lawyer correct? Hopefully I can be as successful so I can afford these unbelievable copies one day...
  10. Well -- it ain't a Cap Comics #1 -- but my pickup arrived today, I cracked it out of the slab and I read it tonight -- here it is raw... Congrats Ciorac... that is one friggin' sweet 6.5 (looks better)
  11. It wasn't really cherry picking since he plans to sell them all individually on eBay soon anyway, and they weren't part of runs. He had some nice stuff, but alas no VF or better 10 centers. Sorry B. Sell them to me anyway -- just kidding .
  12. sweet haul on the OO books... cherry pick away...
  13. Yeah -- I felt the same way about the 9.2 I missed out on awhile back -- when I saw this raw one, I was pretty elated, and more than happy to pay a relatively high price -- but I hadn't seen one this high quality in a long, long time -- and certainly never raw. DCs are starting to grow fairly rapidly. Still, they are not as liquid right now as Marvels.
  14. Rocketeer: I don't think Dave has a copy -- though I will let him visit mine any time he likes!
  15. This weekend was the last hurrah for me buying back issues for quite some time as I gave them up for Lent (and then I am on trial through mid May, so will barely even know what's going on with comics), but last night a bid was accepted on one of my favorite Batman covers of all time!
  16. These are some awesome books -- somebody needs to start selling me some of them! I'm enjoying looking at them though.
  17. I've been noticing increased competition for the DC 10 centers in high grade -- I think this thread may have contributed -- showing all these incredible books!
  18. The Flash 123 is one of my all time favorite covers -- but even I'd go with the Bats #5 -- double cover on a GA Bats, a neat cover AND a 9.6... sweet!
  19. I love this thread -- it inspired me to become a 10 cent DC collector!
