  1. All fantastic books but I especially like this Wood cover... It's always been a favourite of mine. The lighting is great, but I've always wondered about the headlights and the fact that they are casting light in one direction but the shadows fall in the opposite direction. Moonlight? I think there are at least two cars providing light. One behind and one in front. Hence the light on their heads and shadows in opposite direction. I can not watch this animation without getting dizzy. Anyone else have the same response?
  2. I am very fond of that cover by Cole and the interior art is pretty good too. scans from Comics Plus
  3. Very nice, very nice. [font:Times New Roman]+1 Not sure if Palais classic is the offspring of Biro's, but these covers seem to be blood relatives...[/font] and Skyrocket was inspired by those covers.
  4. I like this Real Fact Scifi cover and these other books that I obtained recently.
  5. All of those Timely comics look pretty good. Did you purchase them all off the newstand?
  6. One of the best issues in the run. I agree with Larry. I like that cover very much and I have a copy in my collection which will be one of the last to go. I don't care if he is a fake Two-Face or not.
  7. That's another great book. I didn't realize they did those give aways then. Fun and Fancy Free is an underappreciated Disney movie. I didn't know FC 157 was a giveaway. It has a 10 cent price tag on it and it matches my paint book. The story hour series book was also a giveaway in softcover.
  8. That one sells in almost any condition. I think the Batman 62 (Catwoman origin) does well too. I guess DC thought since the superhero origin stories did well, such as Batman 47 and Superman 53, they could make a little more cash by reintroducing the villians. If the Joker was actually on the cover of Detective 168, it probably would even sell higher.
  9. You are lucky he only wrote on the inside. Same guy scratched his name on the front of my Batman 14. Jerry was a national treasure.
  10. I like the early Green Hornet covers that look like pulps. The cover above is more difficult to get than the Schomburg covers.
  11. Any EC 3-D with glasses or Crypt of Terror or both in one issue?
  12. I like that EC cover. I purchased one and sold it several years ago. I tried to buy another one on ebay but was outbid every time. I enjoy the EC Shock and Horror series.
  13. Paul Reinman I think. I forgot to post the signed splash panel from Pep 32. Cover originally posted by Speedy-D. Note that the colors changed a little but more blood was added on the gate.
  14. I have that cover but no scan. I think it is a good book for grading. You can ensure maximum price or value with a little effort from CGC. Unless there is something wrong with it. I saw two copies of a book that was graded which had coupons missing. Obviously this was going to affect the grade. Green labels obtained for both.
  15. I like Captain Marvel but you can find a lot of his books out on the market. Prices tend to be low and only the earliest books would be worth grading and sealing up. Spending your grading money on an Adventure, More Fun or Marvel Mystery would be better.
  16. Most people use photobucket for posting scans. I use Flickr which I have used to store over a 1,000 scans. At the bottom of this reply you can pick reply and enter an image by copy paste from properties of images stores on photobucket or Flickr. You can probably use one of my post to run through that. Click on a figure, look at properties and copy the URL address. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8357/8342684099_00cb72068e_c.jpg Pick the thiird icon which says "enter an image" and paste in your photo address. Then say OK. Address should be between images in brackets. Click on post at the bottom of page or preview. You can always edit at the preview stage or edit after posts for a few weeks, I think.
  17. Any of those Startling Terrors would make a good t-shirt but a blue t-shirt with an ST 13 Grogon cover would be kind of weird.
  18. My brother loved the dinosaur stampede.
  19. I am very fond of that issue. I read the story when I was young and got a new copy for my 30th birthday.
  20. I like those early Duck books a lot.
  21. Reorganizing my comic collection and found this Kubert centerfold. His work was equal to Foster and Raymond.
  22. And the next issue introduced Miss Patriot, not to be confused with Little Lulu. Syd Shores is credited with that bizarre art in the GCD.
  23. She was an interesting character, more Mary Marvel than Wonder Woman. From MM 49 a shared scan
