  1. Big George by VIP was a regular in the Sunday pages from the sixties.
  2. I like those Straight Arrow comics. I'm still looking for a cup if any one has one. I think it was for Ovaltine but could have been Quaker oats.
  3. Love the "mix"ed media on this one I only have a couple early ones. One has already been posted and this one.
  4. I like those Saunders covers! Baker always did a wonderful job on western covers and stories.
  5. I like the Guardineer stories and his cover is a plus. Cattle Kate was a SOTI story, I believe.
  6. I'm a big fan of the Boy Commandos. It's some of S and K's best stuff.
  7. Cattle Kate was up to no good. Western justice?
  8. I have many of those but haven't seen the Krazy Kat and Lulu. They would be some good reading. Was it the LCS or the book store at the mall? Neither, it was a 2nd hand book shop. The Little Lulu books were $2.70 each and the Krazy Kats were $4.05 each. How could I resist? Guess I will have to be happy with reading old issues of Ace.
  9. Scribbly is a pretty nice comic. Early stories by Mayer are fun too.
  10. Maybe I should put my Ghost Rider group shot in this thread. The precode comic group doesn't seem to think that these westerns contained horror stories, in spite of the zombies, ghouls and witches drawn by Ayers.

  12. At least I know I am not alone in the color fetish thing Not even CLOSE my friend!! You and I are total GEEKS and forever pals (thumbs u I like orange.
  13. I noticed there is less glare in group shots if you take off the glossy covers.
  14. His terror convinces. The object of his terror does not. (Posted by Vaultkeeper) I would call it a Harold Llyod situation and I find the axe that is ready to swing at his head, very threatening. The girl is just laughing at his predicament. Seems familiar....
  15. Actually, my copy is very nice..... Decided to re-scan those covers.. I love those early Everett covers. Please scan everything and repost. You should be done by Christmas.
  16. Now THAT is an awesome cover. (thumbs u Pons gave me a copy of that one when I purchased some Mystery in Space issues from him.
  17. I added another Ghost Rider to the pile. I like the Frazetta covers but Ayers' stories keep you coming back for more. These always put a smile on my face.
  18. I like those Tales of Suspense but I like Tales to Astonish too.
