  1. It's the story of the nude woman getting probed by aliens that makes that book! Her wide shoulders are kind of scary but I like tall women.
  2. Those All Star Comics are from Michael Resnick. Some of you may recognize his name as the guy who wrote the Price Guide before Overstreet (but after GB Love's golden age guide). Since some of pages have figures cut out, I thought they might be from Jerry Bails' original collection which he sliced up to make his scrapbook. Not the case but I thought it was interesting that someone else had done the same thing. bb
  3. I like that one. It is probably a Stoner cover (anyone check?). Bruce
  4. Some that I picked up recently. Been looking for a reader copy of Porky for a long time.
  5. Donald might have been taking a low profile lately but he should be back on track and possibly looking for a position as governor of California after the latest law suit was dismissed. copyright by delcotimes By CINDY SCHARR cscharr@delcotimes.com PHILADELPHIA — A federal judge Thursday signed an order dismissing the lawsuit filed by an Upper Darby woman who claimed Donald Duck groped her breast during a 2008 trip to Epcot. April Magolon claimed the incident occurred in May 2008 while she was vacationing at Epcot Center with her fiance and young children. Magolon alleged that when she approached Donald Duck for an autograph, he grabbed her breast and molested her, according to the lawsuit. Magolon, 28, filed suit against Walt Disney Parks and Resorts LLC, claiming the alleged incident has caused her to suffer post-traumatic stress disorder, flashbacks, nausea, cold sweats, insomnia, nightmares and digestive problems that are preventing her from attending her usual duties and occupation, causing her great financial detriment and loss. According to the lawsuit, she believes her injuries are permanent. She sued Walt Disney Parks and Resorts LLC for negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress, battery and intentional/reckless infliction of emotional distress. She was seeking damages in excess of $50,000 “plus delay damages, punitive damages, costs, interest and other damages permitted by law.” Court documents indicate that when Magolon’s allegations were brought to the attention of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department in Florida, the man in the Donald Duck costume was criminally charged, but subsequently acquitted. On Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge John R. Padova signed an order dismissing the case, with prejudice, according to court filings. The order bars Magolon from filing another case on the same claim.
  6. Those Speed comics and Seven Seas would look good in the box with my Super Comics.
  7. Some of these are incomplete too but I am happy to have the giants in any condition.
  8. I'd forgotten you were doing that and - who are you, anyway? I've forgotten It is easy to get a later S and K cover but the early Sandman and Hourman covers are a little tough to find. Way to go Bill. I picked up a couple of covers thanks to the Dentist. I like that early Action cover.
  9. I think this is his second cover (image from magazineart.org). The Experimenter (December 1925) That should be correct and the November issue was his first cover. I think I saw the December issue at the New York public library but it was already brittle due to poor storage conditions.
  10. I love those early Detective comics but I like the stuff from the late forties and fifties too.
  11. I haven't seen that one very often. I will have to put it on my list. I like this one too. I few years ago I wrote to his daughter, who was constructing a site with Schomburg covers, and sent her a scan of the first cover by Alex.
  12. Finally found one I could afford It is a wonderful cover. Simple and clean. I have a cover but no interior. and an interior but no cover. Love the giant All Star 3 cover too. bb
  13. And I am bumping this thank you because I forgot to notify Ze-man that the package had arrived. bb
  14. I remember Roy and visited Camelot downtown. I gave most of my DC collection to Starbuck at Camelot for almost nothing. Third Planet, where I purchased most of my Conan collection, was closer to the Medical Center and a bar where the Banded Gekkos used to play folk music. Wrecked my liver there but don't blame the Shiner or the Lone Star beers. I probably picked up hepatitis A from St. Lukes Hospital or the local day care center.
  15. I picked this up in PA. Saw the movie a few times while I lived in Michigan. Didn't see any Captain Marvel artifacts in Houston other than at Roy's Memory Shop.
  16. I remember seeing some Straight Arrow issues in the collection that Bill was selling but forgot to make an offer on them. Oh well, I think you have a few more than I. I still haven't finished the collection but I have managed to pick up a bunch of Great Western and Best of the West issues to go with bunch. The ME Frazetta covers are my favorites but Ayers made some great covers too. Meagher art was always good and Powell was pretty good on the backup strip.
  17. The cat thinks the Mighty Mouse game shows good taste...or tastes good.
