  1. There are the EC horror and scifi comics and all of the rest.
  2. Those are all incomplete in some way...but it makes a good group shot
  3. All of the masters, Baker, Kirby, L Cole, J Cole, Biro, Gould and Kamen, were in the crime comic racket.
  4. Thanks for the scans, Pat I read David Michaelis' biography of Wyeth several months ago and enjoyed it immensely. I recommend it to anyone who has an interest in the work of illustrators of that time period. N.C. Wyeth Images For anyone who doesn't know, the Brandywine museum located near West Chester, PA has a collection of paintings by NC Wyeth and his friends and relatives. It is worth a visit for those that appreciate or want to appreciate the art. It is easy to drive up and walk in, compared to Manhattan NYC or the more confusing Philadelphia center city.
  5. And some of the Romance books... Not just Baker but Schomburg and Feldstein too.
  6. I'll handle this one if Gator doesn't mind: Captain America & Thor = Box Office Hits! Green Lantern = Bad Odor (because of CGI costume.) I think the Green Lantern movie looks good. It may depend upon the character development. DC didn't make GL wacko until the character had been around for a while. Peter Parker was a basket case from the beginning.
  7. BB, I'm enjoying all the group shots you've been posting. I love the variety of comics you have collected. You have dozens of issues I'd like to read. I wish htmlcomics was still around so I could indulge myself. When you sit down to read, what titles are your favorites? I think the duck books are still my first choice. Many of the Harvey horror and four color comics are also good. I enjoy the Batman stories more than the Torch but can't stop buying the Superman comics.
  8. Those are all incomplete in some way...but it makes a good group shot.
  9. And as long as I took a Superman group shot, I might as well take a World's Finest Group shot. I have a lot of these that are coverless too, always looking.
  10. That's who keeps out bidding me on awesome Catman books! You sir have made yourself an enemy!!!! I only purchased the Schomburg cover by ebay auction but the others were from local dealers and flea market sellers. I don't win those Catman issues either.
  11. Fifty years of collecting this title but I think I purchased the last issue to finish the collection a few years ago.
  12. There is still room for non-jungle books in the JKL box but not much.
  13. Scrappy likes the Jungle and Jumbo books but I think she is cheering for the lion. She knows the pride would make short work of Kaanga but the male lion has to play big boss.
  14. Finally using my new digital camera. This seemed an appropriate splash.
  15. BB- I've enjoyed seeing every one of your group shots so far! Thanks for sharing! Thanks, I forgot to show the books from the "C" box. Lots of Big Red Cheese covers in there. Here is a peek.
  16. And for the Mighty Mouse fans, here are a few. I guess I am not trying hard enough to build this collection. I like the Oil Can Harry cover and the giant robots. That Terrytoons is probably pre-MM but it was the only one I could find to fill the gap.
  17. Thought you might like those Four Colors. Here are a few more.
  18. BB, you have great taste in comics Thanks Ciorac, I like this group too.
  19. Bat-dude must be kewl cuz he's got some great friends! (thumbs u Very nice group shots BB. I still regret not buying a Seven Seas 4 from Harley a couple years back. He had a really nice VF- copy I passed on. Thanks, I don't know who I purchased that comic from but it wasn't Harley.
