  1. That's little Eight Ball on the readers right... He was a regular in New Funnies until Woody pushed him out. I think he started as a Walter Lantz cartoon. Was it the Magpie...and the Tiger or the Hunter? ED: According to Wikipedia... Lil' Eightball is a Walter Lantz character, who made his first appearance in the cartoon "The Stubborn Mule", in 1939. His final appearance was in 1939, in "A Haunting We Will Go". He is a Black stereotype and was voiced by Mel Blanc.
  2. and I love the George Storm cover. Did he do many others. I don't think he did any Hangman covers but maybe Patsy. Patsy and the Whip crossover might have been interesting...
  3. Christmas is a good time to pick up those pre-code horror comics that are missing from your collection.
  4. A lot of fuss about other Nedor titles has made it easy to pick up Fighting Yank covers by Schomburg. I like all of these.
  5. Fiction House knew how to make some Peril for their heroines.
  6. Sorry to confuse some people with this posting. To clarify, I added replica covers to Action 46, 53, 66 and 68. I also have replica covers on Action 19, 25, 27, 29, 34, 36 and 54. I have one Action 64 that is complete and one that has a replica cover (making 12 total with replica covers). I also have Action 31 and 33 with replica covers and a couple dozen more coverless Action and Superman comics. All the rest have real covers and interiors (16 copies). I could use real covers to replace replicas or recommend someone who could help you with your restoration need.. How did you add the replica covers? The coverless comic is just laying inside of the replica cover. Replica cover is on a heavier glossy stock which looks pretty good if the scans used for printing are good. I didn't remove the staples or rebind anything. Which Action 64 (i.e. Toyman) do you like better?
  7. Excuse the double posting, there were so many great Strange Adventure covers.
